“You cannot learn to surf in a classroom.” — William Goldberg
Goldberg Aviation serves aviators who fly turbine aircraft and has had the privilege of serving the turbine aircraft community since 2014. We strive to provide the highest standard of in-cockpit training available.
We train to a standard higher than your pilot certificate. We assume that you have achieved proficiency in basic piloting skills; we will provide you techniques and skills specific to your aircraft, its specific equipment, and your particular operating environment. Our goal is simple: We seek to bring proven techniques to best procedures and give you the flight experiences you need to accompany your on-ground training.
We view our relationship with you not so much as instructor / student but rather as a mentorship between pilots of different skill levels. We firmly believe that there is no shame in not knowing, only in not asking.
Instead of only relying on flying hours, ratings, and endorsements to evaluate pilot competency (and insurability), we will look for the pilot’s demonstration of performance (objectively and subjectively) to assess skills and proficiency. Increasingly we are able to monitor our flying proficiency electronically. Modern avionics record all facets of a flight and we can use these data to inform our training as well as to show the benefit from training.
